The battery voltage directly corresponds to the remaining power: static open-circuit voltage can accurately reflect the real state of charge, while dynamic load voltage can reveal hidden problems such as cell inconsistency, circuit aging, and poor battery activity. Open-circuit voltage testing is suitable for daily routine inspection and state-of-charge judgment, with simple operation and accurate results. Observe the real-time voltage fluctuation range: a healthy Citycoco battery has stable load voltage with a fluctuation range within 2V; if the voltage drops sharply by more than 5V instantly during acceleration or load switching, it indicates severe battery aging, inconsistent internal cells, or aging power lines.
Scientific analysis of voltage test data can guide targeted battery maintenance and fault troubleshooting. If the open-circuit voltage is normal but the load voltage drops significantly, the main problem lies in reduced battery discharge capacity and decreased cell activity, which requires capacity calibration or battery replacement. If the static voltage of the battery pack is lower than the standard full-charge value after full charging, it means there are damaged single cells in the series pack, resulting in insufficient overall voltage. Long-term low-voltage use will cause lithium battery over-discharge damage, permanently attenuating battery capacity.
