At present, most new Citycoco models are equipped with removable batteries, while fixed batteries are mostly used in old models and low-cost basic versions.

Removable batteries have outstanding advantages in portability and flexibility. The biggest core advantage is supporting offline independent charging. For users living in high-rise apartments, residential buildings without parking lot charging piles, and office workers who need flexible charging, removable batteries can be disassembled and carried home or to the office for charging, completely solving the problem of inconvenient vehicle charging. Fixed batteries have obvious advantages in stability, safety and waterproof performance. The fixed battery is built into the vehicle body and fixed with special brackets, with tight overall structure, no shaking and loosening during riding, and stable circuit connection, which can effectively avoid power failure and poor contact caused by battery displacement. The integrated design of fixed batteries has better waterproof and dustproof performance, which can adapt to rainy days and complex road environments, and is not easy to cause water ingress and short circuit failure. At the same time, fixed batteries have lower overall weight of the vehicle body, more reasonable center of gravity distribution, and more stable riding handling.

In terms of service life and cost, fixed batteries have longer stable service life. Due to no frequent disassembly and assembly, the battery interface and wiring are not easy to wear and loose, reducing the failure rate of contact aging. Removable batteries are prone to interface oxidation, loose contact and shell wear after long-term repeated disassembly and assembly, which affects stability. However, the later maintenance cost of fixed batteries is higher. Once the battery fails, professional personnel are required to disassemble and repair, while removable batteries can be replaced independently with lower maintenance threshold. For family fixed-point use with convenient charging, fixed batteries are more recommended; for users with limited charging conditions, removable batteries are more practical.
